Libraries in Singapore

Public libraries are essential place for reading, finding and borrowing books. And with development of Singapore public libraries with multimedia computer and nicely decorated study lounges they have become destinations for families, students, and elderly both on weekend and weekdays.

I’m impressed by the space and design of Tampines Regional Library located at Tampines Hub. One side of library is lined with ceiling length windows affording generous sunlight and expansive view of the sports hub and soccer field.

The library is 5-storey with sections for children, including an indoor playground, study lounges in various sections, and terraces.

There is plenty reading materials in all four official lounges, hosted in various attractively designed shelves.

A wonderful place for quiet reading and study for people in the East. The library is located at Tampines Hub, 5 minutes walk from Tampines MRT.
