Dhamma Bhumi

Sat on my third 10-day course at Dhamma Bhumi, Blackheath, NSW, Australia. The site is located at Blue Mountain a protected forest and Unesco heritage site. It’s 2km or 30mins walk from Blackheath train station, which is around 2hour train ride from Sydney city on a direct line.

The site is tranquil. Throughout the week, we had a few sunny days, misty and cloudy days, and a few days with light rains. In end February/early March the weather was slightly colder for typical end of summer due to cyclone that hit Queensland. But the rain was never heavy and we were undisturbed and just grateful for the serene and supportive atmosphere.

So firtunate that the last day of my course coincided with a day where old students and committee of australian vipassana gather to celebrate the completion of top of pagoda, a project that had been on works for more than a decade.
